Preserve at Alafia

My husband and I lived there for about 7 years (former residents 😅) and just recently moved out. We were extremely happy with this complex until our last day. The gym is great! The pool is amazing with a beautiful everyday sunset. The office staff was always very friendly and accommodating. The maintenance crew was always prompt and very helpful!

Have been living here for 6 months now and can't say enough great things about Preserve at Alafia and the superb staff!! Maintenance is always timely and professional and the front office is inviting, friendly, and extremely helpful. There are food trucks 2-3 times a week which is incredible and helps to support the local community. The views are unbeatable, being right on the Alafia river. There's access to kayaks for you to take on the river as well (there's even dolphins!). One of my personal favorite parts about the apartment complex is the diversity of birds that occupy the pond in front of my apartment. The gym definitely needs some updating, but it has enough equipment to get the job done. As of recent, the staff has done a phenomenal job of engaging the community and hosting more events such as a Paint and Sip, gift wrapping with wine, a business social for local business vendors to network. Truly incredible and a great way to introduce members of the community and help create new friendships. So many great things to mention about Preserve at Alafia and I couldn't be happier that we chose to move here!

Honestly living here has been decent for the most part… but some thing’s that I’d like to complain about it are: 1. The lack of proper lighting in the parking area near building 10042 at night. 2. The garbage people leave trails of nastiness in the stairs and there hasn’t been power washing maintenance done consistent enough. Really gross. 3. The main community gate doesn’t work with the FOB and the “garden community” community gates almost never work (there’s always at least one gate open). Not very secure. 4. As of lately the trash folks have not been taking trash bags even though we’ve been using the same trash bag size since we moved here over a year ago. The worst part about that is they’ve started threatening us with $25 fees each time an “incident” occurs. What a joke. All in all, wouldn’t recommend living here! You’re better off going somewhere else to get a better bang for your buck. I’ve also known someone who cleaned their apartment very well and the leasing office made any and every excuse to keep most of their deposit. I’ve made one extension due to unforeseen circumstances, but never again.

So far been living here six months and have really appreciated the staff putting together community events to get the residents out and meeting one another! Moving to a new state is difficult, but I've felt at ease with my decision of moving into Preserve at Alafia. Special thanks to Sarah and Jordan who I see often at the events and are always kind and friendly!
